Day 1

On arrival, meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Lima City Tour (Colonial and Modern): The tour starts with the modern part and the colonial part of the city of Lima , “The City of Kings”, starting from the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, where we will pass by a pre-Inca construction that is 1200 years old, the Huaca Huallamarca. Then, we will go to the Historic Center, where you will visit the Main Square (Plaza Mayor), which comprises the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, The Municipality and the Cathedral. We will make a stop at the chocolate museum where we will see the transformation of cocoa into delicious products. Later on, we will visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, declared cultural heritage of humanity and house of the remains of our patron saints, San Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima. Finally, we will return to Miraflores where we will pass by another pre-Inca pyramid-shaped building . We will then descend into one of the most representative parks of Miraflores, the Love Park, inspired by the Güell Park of Barcelona, where you will see the beautiful sculpture dedicated to love, “The Kiss”, made by the famous Peruvian artist, Victor Delfin.

Lima • Arequipa

Day 3

Transfer to Lima airport. Arrival to the city of Arequipa. Reception and transfer to hotel.

City Tour and Santa Catalina Convent (14:00): A half-day tour of the city of Arequipa that lies at the foot of the beautiful extinct “Misti” volcano. The main square, the Plaza de Armas, you will visit the Cathedral with its Carrara marble altar, the huge Belgian organ and the magnificent pulpit, carved in Lille, France. You will then continue on to the Jesuit Church of La Compañia with its beautifully painted chapel and carved volcanic stone arcades. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Santa Catalina Convent. This convent, closed to the public for almost 400 years until 1970, is still home to a few cloistered nuns. The tour provides an insight as to the isolated lives of the nuns, mostly daughters of the wealthy Spanish nobility. The quaint narrow streets and courtyards are a delight.

Colca • Chivay

Day 4

Colca Canyon Excursion: The Colca Canyon “La Cruz del Condor”. This is where we see the depth of the canyon and the flight of the Condor. The area has beautiful typical villages like Yanque and Maca, colonial churches, friendly people with dresses and hats with typical sewing, and hundreds of pre-Inca terraces that are still in use with Andean crops such as corn, quinoa and amaranth.

Appreciate natural scenery and vibrant culture, offering the visitor a unique experience and will be fascinated to watch the huge cliffs up to 30 m. tall-carved and chisel combo and against the background of the volcanoes Misti and Chachani.

Continue your journey along the Chachani, go through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca. We will make a stop in Pampa Cañahuas - Natural Vicuña Reserve, Pampa Tojra where you can see local and migratory birds, Mirador de los Andes (4900 masl), Crater Chucura and Mirador de Chivay. Arrive at Chivay for lunch and transfer to the hotel. Dinner in Chivay or your hotel.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will start the journey through the main towns of the valley until reaching Yanque, where you will appreciate its typical dances exposed in the main square, then a short visit to its site museum that exhibits a collection of textiles. You can also choose for a short walk (45 min.) along a path at the edge of the canyon. Then, departure towards “La Cruz del Condor”, the best spot to observe the deepness of the canyon of 11,155 ft deep and 124 miles long and also the place from where almost always is possible to see the majestic fly of the condor. There is no an exact hour to see them, as many said, you can see them at any time; it depends on luck and patience. On the way back, visit some very interesting places such as: Pre inca hanging tombs, terraces viewer and Pinchollo, Maca where will do a brief stop to take pictures of the landscapes then continue to Achoma, Yanque towns. Arrival at 12:30 to Chivay for lunch. After an hour, around 13.30 hrs, you will be transferred to Puno with a private car and guide.

Puno • Uros Floating Islands • Llachon Peninsula • Puno

Day 6

The Uros Islands are occupied by people known as the “Water Tribe” because they have built their own “Island” by adding periodically new layers of “Totora” a type of marram-grass very typical from this place. There you will have the opportunity to navigate a typical “Totora” boat.

You will continue your trip to Capachica Peninsula to visit the rural community of Llachón, a pretty rural village . Here you will have the opportunity to participate in activities, traditions and life styles of the local population. You will visit one of the families where you can share a lunch prepared by the villagers, an unforgettable experience.

After this fun experience, you will be transferred back to Puno.

Puno • Cusco

Day 7

Transfer from your hotel to the airport. Upon your arrival at the airport in Cusco, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Valle Sagrado • Machu Picchu

Day 8

Authentic Sacred Valley (8 Hours): Today’s first destination is Chinchero, a quaint little town that houses an important Inca archaeological center, built at the end of the 1400’s, as well as a lovely and very traditional church. We will visit “Urpi” a famous textile centre where the townsfolk have preserved the traditional Andean spinning and weaving techniques. On our way to Ollantaytambo, we will stop at the lookout point of Racchi, where we will have the chance to have some of the best views of the Sacred Valley, after that, lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

Ollantaytambo, is one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire, one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost a major battle. Very well known for its “andenes” (terraces dug into the slopes of mountains for agricultural purposes), Ollantaytambo was a highly effective fortress that also served as a temple. We will continue to the adjacent town of Ollantaytambo, “the unique living Inca town”: the best surviving example of Inca city planning, inhabited since the 13th century.

Machu Picchu • Cusco

Day 9

(07:00) Entrance to Huayna Picchu.

(10:00) Visit Macchu Picchu: You will be transported by bus to Machu Picchu citadel, one of the most renowned examples of the Inca’s architecture, surrounded by an amazing landscape of lush forest. Lost in history, Machu Picchu was not discovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham, but was built in the middle of XV century. The name of the citadel comes from the Quechua language that means “Old Mountain” and apparently was the principal Inca’s Sanctuary. Here you will enjoy a self-service lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. Note: Carry-on luggage allowed per passenger is only 5 kg/11 lbs.

(15:48) Depart by Train: You will return to the station to take your train ride back to Ollantaytambo.

(17:29) Sacred Valley: Transfer from the train station of the Sacred Valley to the hotel in Cusco.

(19:30) Cusco: Arrive in Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10

City Tour & Ruins: The city of Cusco, an UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. The tour begins at the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over top this temple’s foundations: the church of Santo Domingo. Your next destination is the Main Square, the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking the city of Cusco. What a view of the city! The tour continues with visits to three archeological sites: Qenko, Puca-Pucara, and Tambomachay, important religious and administrative centers for the Incas. Finally you will visit the Andean art workshop named Incas expression, - artists working on silver pieces and painting in wood.

Cusco • Lima

Day 11

Transfer from your hotel to the airport. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 12

Upon check-out, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
